Capillithyris is a genus. It is not extant. Its type is Terebratula capillata. It is the type genus of Capillithyrididae, Capillithyridinae.
It was assigned to Brachiopoda by Vörös (1995); to Terebratulida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Capillithyridinae by Williams et al. (2006).
