Taxonomy
Terebratula pyrenaica was named by Dubar (1931) [Telothyris jauberti var. pyrenaica].

It was recombined as Lobothyris pyreneica by Rakús and Guex (2002); it was recombined as Telothyris pyrenaica by Alméras et al. (1996), Alméras and Fauré (2000) and Alméras et al. (2007).
