Taxonomy
Hungarella owthropensis was named by Anderson (1964). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was synonymized subjectively with Ogmoconcha ellipsoidea by Lord (1971); it was recombined as Ogmoconcha owthropensis by Sohn (1987).
