Taxonomy
Austriellula renzi was named by Mancenido (1993). Its type specimen is NMB L9545 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Karya, Corfu, which is in a Toarcian carbonate limestone in the Siniais Limestone Formation of Greece.
