Clastoteuthis abrupta
Taxonomy
Clastoteuthis abrupta was named by Lang (1928). Its type specimen is BMNH C.28864 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bed 111b, Lower Pale Band, Westhay Cliff, Charmouth, which is in a Jamesoni offshore marl in the Belemnite Marls Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Clastoteuthis.
