Taxonomy
Angeloteuthis uriel was named by Lang (1928). Its type specimen is BMNH C.28985 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bed 118d, 7.5 ft below Belemnite Stone, Upper Darker Marls, Charmouth, which is in an Ibex offshore marl in the Belemnite Marls Formation of the United Kingdom.
