Taxonomy
Rimirhynchia elevata was named by Buckman (1917). Its type specimen is GSM 51284, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Clandown, near Radstock (BGS collection), which is in a Jamesoni marine horizon in the United Kingdom.
