Taxonomy
Rimirhynchia tardata was named by Buckman (1917). Its type specimen is G.S.Edin. 2382, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Two Mile Burn, Isle of Raasay, which is in a Jamesoni/Ibex marine shale in the Pabba Formation of the United Kingdom.
