Dallina was named by Beecher (1893) [Sepkoski's age data: T Mi R Sepkoski's reference number: 1]. It is extant. It is the type genus of Dallininae, Dallinidae.

It was assigned to Terebratulida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Dallininae by Williams et al. (2006).
