Ammonites (Ceratites) agenor was named by Muenster (1834). It is the type species of Mojsvarites.
It was recombined as Ceratites agenor by Münster (1841); it was recombined as Monophyllites agenor by von Mojsisovics (1882) and Silberling and Nichols (1982); it was recombined as Mojsvarites agenor by von Mojsisovics (1902), Spath (1934), Wiedmann (1970) and Rakús (1993).
It was recombined as Ceratites agenor by Münster (1841); it was recombined as Monophyllites agenor by von Mojsisovics (1882) and Silberling and Nichols (1982); it was recombined as Mojsvarites agenor by von Mojsisovics (1902), Spath (1934), Wiedmann (1970) and Rakús (1993).
