Taxonomy
Rhechias angulosus was named by Schwarzhans (2003). Its type specimen is MGUH 26054, an otolith, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sample M2, Fakse Quarry, which is in a Danian basin reef bafflestone in Denmark.

W. Schwarzhans 2003 | Moderately elongated and thick otoliths with pointed anterior and posterior tips and a prominent and sharp postdorsal angle. The sulcus is shallow, nar- row and rather short and inclined at about 5 to 10°. The ostium is strongly reduced anteriorly and fused colliculum terminating at some distance from the ante- rior rim. The dorsal depression is wide and marked. |
