Paralobites pisus

Taxonomy
Goniatites pisum was named by Münster (1841). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is St. Cassian (Munster coll), which is in a Julian carbonate limestone in the Cassian Formation of Italy. It is the type species of Lobites (Paralobites).

It was recombined as Lobites pisum by von Mojsisovics (1875); it was recombined as Lobites (Paralobites) pisum by von Mojsisovics (1902); it was recombined as Paralobites pisus by Spath (1951).
