Taxonomy
Orthoceras convergens was named by Hauer (1847). It is the type species of Mojsisovicsteuthis.

It was recombined as Atractites convergens by von Mojsisovics (1902); it was recombined as Mojsisovicsteuthis convergens by Jeletzky (1966).
