Taxonomy
Orbirhynchia pisiformis was named by Pettitt (1954). Its type specimen is B.M. [B.92580] and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Quidhampton, which is in a Santonian carbonate chalk in the Upper Chalk Formation of the United Kingdom.
