Taxonomy
Orbirhynchia granum was named by Pettitt (1954). Its type specimen is B.M. [BB.12393] and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is East Harnham (Actinocamax quadratus zone), which is in a Campanian carbonate chalk in the Upper Chalk Formation of the United Kingdom.
