Taxonomy
Rhynchonella leedsi was named by Davidson (1878). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Scarborough, upper Cornbrash, which is in a Callovian carbonate limestone in the Cornbrash Formation of the United Kingdom.
It was recombined as Lotharingella leedsi by Shi and Grant (1993).
