Taxonomy
Kallirhynchia sharpi was named by Muir-Wood (1938). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Limekiln Quarry, Hopping Hill (sharpi bed), which is in a Bathonian carbonate limestone in the United Kingdom.

It was recombined as Sharpirhynchia sharpi by Shi and Grant (1993).
