Taxonomy
Burmirhynchia oxoniensis was named by Buckman (1917). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kidlington, which is in a Bathonian carbonate limestone in the United Kingdom.

It was recombined as Burmirhynchia (Hopkinsirhynchia) oxoniensis by Shi and Grant (1993).
