Taxonomy

Rhactorhynchia diducta was named by Buckman (1917). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tetbury Road Railway Station, which is in a Bathonian marine horizon in the Forest Marble Formation of the United Kingdom.

It was recombined as Obsoletirhynchia diducta by Shi and Grant (1993).

Synonyms

Rhactorhynchia coriniensis was named by Buckman (1917).

It was synonymized subjectively with Obsoletirhynchia diducta by Shi and Grant (1993).
Rhactorhynchia foecunda was named by Buckman (1917). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bradford-on-Avon (Tutcher Coll.), which is in a Bathonian carbonate limestone/claystone in the Forest Marble Formation of the United Kingdom.

It was synonymized subjectively with Kutchirhynchia obsoleta obsoleta by Laurin (1984); it was synonymized subjectively with Obsoletirhynchia diducta by Shi and Grant (1993).
