Palaeogadus sinangulatus
Taxonomy
Palaeogadus sinangulatus was named by Schwarzhans (2003). Its type specimen is MGUH 26119, an otolith, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sundkrogen [Lellinge Greensand], which is in a Selandian marine sandstone in the Lellinge Greensand Formation of Denmark.

outline typical for the otoliths of genus Palaeogadus. The predorsal angle is broad and not prominent and is getting completely rounded in adult specimens. The anterior and posterior tips are rounded. The inner face is convex. The collum is rather wide and without a pseudocolliculum. The ventral furrow is distinct and very close to the ventral rim. |
