Glosseudesia was named by Lobacheva (1974) [Sepkoski's age data: K Vala-u K Barr-l Sepkoski's reference number: 776].

It was assigned to Terebratulida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Sellithyridinae by Williams et al. (2006).
