Taxonomy
Zorotypus was named by Silvestri (1913). It is extant. It is the type genus of Zorotypidae.

It was assigned to Zorotypidae by Engel and Grimaldi (2002), Yin et al. (2017), Yin et al. (2018) and Liu et al. (2018).
