Taxonomy
Clupeidarum rectiventralis was named by Schwarzhans (2003). Its type specimen is MGUH 26058, an otolith, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sundkrogen [Lellinge Greensand], which is in a Selandian marine sandstone in the Lellinge Greensand Formation of Denmark.
