Taxonomy
Orthis iphigenia was named by Billings (1865). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Dinorthis iphigenia by Schuchert (1897), Troedsson (1928); it was recombined as Plaesiomys (Dinorthis) iphigenia by Bolton (1977); it was recombined as Plaesiomys iphigenia by Hall and Clarke (1892), Rasmussen (2013).
