Lobothyris crassa
Taxonomy
Terebratula crassa was named by Dubar (1925) [Terebratula subpunctata var. crassa]. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS 10629 (B.F. Smith Farm), Castle Hayne marl, Lenoir Co., North Carolina, which is in an Eocene marine marl in the Castle Hayne Formation of North Carolina.
It was recombined as Lobothyris crassa by Alméras and Fauré (2000) and Alméras et al. (2007).
