Taxonomy
Eotrimeroceras jupiterense was named by Foerste (1928). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is 2 miles east of Jupiter River, which is in a Telychian carbonate lime mudstone in the Jupiter Formation of Canada.

Copper 2008Internal mould of body chamber somewhat compressed obliquely distorting the cross-section of the base; maximum diameter 3.9 cm, minimum 3.2 cm, maximum length ca. 4.5 cm. The ventral lobe of the aperture curves narrowly to within 2.5 cm of the base of the body chamber; the positions of the two broad dorsolateral lobes are displaced; breadth of the aperture estimated at ca. 24 mm. The position of the 5 mm diameter siphuncle is close to the ventral margin of the base of the body chamber.
