Taxonomy

Liothyrella was named by Thomson (1916) [Sepkoski's age data: T Mi R Sepkoski's reference number: 1,882]. It is extant. Its type is Terebratula uva.

It was assigned to Terebratulida by Sepkoski (2002); to Terebratulidae by Bitner and Crame (2002); and to Terebratulinae by Craig (2000) and Williams et al. (2006).

Dolichosina was named by Cooper (1983) [Sepkoski's age data: T Ol Sepkoski's reference number: 882]. Its type is Terebratula oamarutica.

It was synonymized subjectively with Liothyrella by Williams et al. (2006).

Mimorina was named by Cooper (1983) [Sepkoski's age data: T Ol-u T Plio Sepkoski's reference number: 882]. Its type is Mimorina ziczac.

It was synonymized subjectively with Liothyrella by Williams et al. (2006).

It was assigned to Terebratulida by Sepkoski (2002).
