Taxonomy
Arcoscalpellum knapptonensis was named by Zullo (1982). Its type specimen is LACMIP 6270, an other, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is LACMIP 5844 - Knappton [Lincoln Creek Fm], which is in a Rupelian deep-water limestone in the Lincoln Creek Formation of Washington.
