Taxonomy
Scalpellum (Arcoscalpellum) euglyphum was named by Withers (1924). Its type specimen is AR822, an other, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Arcoscalpellum euglyphum by Withers (1953) and Zullo (1982); it was recombined as Graviscalpellum euglyphum by Buckeridge (1983).
