Taxonomy
Halajaphis siphonosetae was named by Wegierek (1996). Its type specimen is MZ 6543, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic Amber (Museum Ziemi collection), which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in Poland. It is the type species of Halajaphis.
