Concavus (Menesiniella) was named by Newman (1982). It is extant.

It was synonymized subjectively with Tamiosoma by Zullo (1992); it was reranked as Menesiniella by McLaughlin et al. (2005) and Chan et al. (2021).

It was assigned to Concavus by Newman (1982); to Balanidae by McLaughlin et al. (2005); and to Concavinae by Chan et al. (2021).
