Taxonomy
Balanus regalis was named by Pilsbry (1916). It is extant. Its type specimen is USNM43485, an other.

It was recombined as Balanus aquila regalis by Henry (1960); it was recombined as Concavus (Menesiniella) regalis by Newman (1982); it was recombined as Tamiosoma regalis by Zullo (1992).
