Taxonomy
Balanus concavus chesapeakensis was named by Pilsbry (1916) [Middle Miocene (lower Serravallian), Choptank Formation, Maryland.]. It is a 3D body fossil. It is the type subspecies of Chesaconcavus.

It was recombined as Chesaconcavus chesapeakensis by Zullo (1992).
