Taxonomy
Terebratella (Magasella) was named by Dall (1870) [Sepkoski's age data: Q Plei R Sepkoski's reference number: ZR71]. It is extant.

It was synonymized subjectively with Terebratella by Williams et al. (2006); it was reranked as Magasella by Sepkoski (2002) and Robinson et al. (2016).

It was assigned to Terebratella by Dall (1870); to Terebratulida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Terebratellidae by Robinson et al. (2016).
