It was recombined as Streptorhynchus chemungensis by Hall (1867) and Walcott (1884); it was recombined as Hemipronites chemungensis by Meek (1877); it was recombined as Orthothetes chemungensis by Hall and Clarke (1892); it was recombined as Schuchertella chemungensis by Linsley (1994); it was recombined as Floweria chemungensis by Cooper and Dutro (1982) and Stigall Rode (2005).
