Crania (Pseudocrania) anomala was named by Winchell (1866). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Streptorhynchus anomala by Hall and Clarke (1892); it was recombined as Orthothetes anomalus by Schuchert (1897); it was recombined as Schuchertella anomala by Ehlers and Kline (1934); it was recombined as Floweria anomala by Stigall Rode (2005).
