Xystostrophia woolworthana
Taxonomy
Strophomena woolworthana was named by Hall (1857) [Lectotype designated by Stigall 2005. ]. Its type specimen is AMNH 33145, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.
It was recombined as Orthothetes woolworthana by Hall and Clarke (1892); it was recombined as Orthothetes (Schuchertella) woolworthanus by Clarke (1908); it was recombined as Schuchertella woolworthana by Alexander and Gibson (1993); it was recombined as Eoschuchertella woolworthana by Linsley (1994); it was recombined as Xystostrophia woolworthana by Stigall Rode (2005).
