Taxonomy
Schuchertella iowensis was named by Stainbrook (1943) [Type given as S.U.I. 6-323A originally.]. Its type specimen is UIPR 6-323A, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Brandon. waterlooensis zone, which is in a Givetian carbonate limestone in the Little Cedar Formation of Iowa.
It was recombined as Floweria iowensis by Stigall Rode (2005).
