Schuchertella percha
Taxonomy
Schellwienella percha was named by Stainbrook (1947) [= Schuchertella chemungensis Kindle 1909, p. 16, pl. 3, figs. 2-4a.]. Its type specimen is M. A. S. 1593, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Percha Creek, 3 miles southeast of Hillsboro, which is in a Famennian marine shale/limestone in the Percha Shale Formation of New Mexico.
It was recombined as Schuchertella percha by Cooper and Dutro (1982) and Stigall Rode (2005).
