Phacoides (Bellucina) amiantus was named by Dall (1901) [DISTRIBUTION: Norh Carolina-Florida.]. It is extant.

It was recombined as Lucina amiantus by Richards (1962); it was recombined as Bellucina amiantus by Woodring (1982); it was recombined as Linga amiantis by Miller (1983); it was recombined as Radiolucina amianta by Coan and Valentich-Scott (2012) and Hendy (2014).
