Mycerosia was named by Cooper (1989) [Sepkoski's age data: J Call-m J Kimm Sepkoski's reference number: 877]. It is not extant. Its type is Mycerosia amygdaliformis.
It was assigned to Terebratulida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Zeilleriinae by Williams et al. (2006).
