Taxonomy
Orthambonites humilidorsatus was named by Wright (1964). Its type specimen is BB 30150, a valve (ventral valve), and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Sulevorthis humilidorsatus by Jaanusson and Bassett (1993) and Cocks (2014).
