Taxonomy
Cedusa baylissae was named by Szwedo and Ross (2003). Its type specimen is BMNH II.2153, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Mexican amber (BMNH collection), which is in a Miocene terrestrial amber in Mexico.
