Taxonomy
Stephanitis rozanovi was named by Golub and Popov (2003). Its type specimen is Poinar HE 4-8i, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Dominican amber (Poinar coll), which is in a Burdigalian/Langhian terrestrial amber in the Dominican Republic.
