Taxonomy
Turononemonyx samsonovi was named by Legalov (2014). Its type specimen is PIN 2383/361, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Kzyl-Zhar Locality (PIN collection 2383), which is in a Turonian pond mudstone in Kazakhstan.
