for family, comprising 10 plates and 8 columns, respectively. Scutum trapezoidal, with upper lateral margin forming obtuse angle with base and lower part of occludent margin forming acute angle with base. Scutal umbo lies at position of angulation of occludent margin; lies a little more than one-third distance from scutal apex to rostral angle of scutum. Occludent margin of capitulum strongly inflected in largest known (type) specimen, less inflected in smaller specimens. Upper latus broadly triangular. Carinobasal angle of carinal latus strongly obtuse. Peduncle joins capitulum with strong obliquity, has up to four more plates in carinal lateral column than in scutal column. Peduncle widest at summit, margins convex, with plates in paired columns usually more than three times wider than high. |
