Vassacyon bowni
Taxonomy
Vassacyon bowni was named by Heinrich et al. (2008). Its type specimen is UCMP 216164, a tooth (right [upper] M2), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Castle Gardens, which is in a Wasatchian terrestrial mudstone in the Willwood Formation of Wyoming.
