Taxonomy
Scalpellum (Arcoscalpellum) ungulatum was named by Withers (1913). Its type specimen is I15409, an other, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Arcoscalpellum ungulatum by Withers (1953); it was recombined as Graviscalpellum ungulatum by Buckeridge (1983) and Gale (2016).
