Taxonomy
Scalpellum (Arcoscalpellum) meridianum was named by Chapman and Crespin (1928). Its type specimen is P14082, an other, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Euscalpellum meridianum by Withers (1953) and Buckeridge (1983).
