Taxonomy
Haootia quadriformis was named by Liu et al. (2014). Its type specimen is OUM AT.424/p and is an impression. Its type locality is Back Cove, which is in an Ediacaran submarine fan siltstone in the Fermeuse Formation of Canada. It is the type species of Haootia.
